MetalScapes artist, Steven W. Huffman, finds his creative inspiration in the natural beauty that makes up the mid-west.  Born and raised in southeast Iowa, Huffman collects pieces of scrap metal that appear to have reached the end of the road and gives them new life.  Over 90% of Huffman's sculptures come from the recycled metal's original state in which it was found. Huffman's creative vision then takes shape as he captures the spirit of a variety of animals, people, and abstract art.         
Art has been and continues to be Huffman's life-long pursuit.  After graduating high school, his interest led him into self-employment in the construction field where he continued to gain insight in technical and product knowledge while receiving many certifications along the way. 

Now, after 40 years, Huffman has become a seasoned artist.  "I have a comfortable understanding", says Huffman, "of strengths, loads, and balance for design and product applications of various materials".  He gives careful detailed consideration to the elements of balance, creativity, and texture within the design.  "I enjoy making something of Beauty from Nothing", says Huffman.  Excellence and quality are priorities for Steve.  Huffman is a sought out consultant because of his unique creative abilities.                                                                

While Huffman was inspired at an early age, and has developed as an artist through various opportunities, and self guided studies, he gives credit to the Master Creator, God, for the abilities he has been gifted with and enjoys encouraging young artists with their artistic dreams.
